History of Masjid Al-Hidayah Toyohashi
Mr. Sartono purchased a property with two buildings on January 24, 2025. The first building (the house on the left in the picture) is used as his residence for him and his family. The second building (the middle and right in the picture) has been endowed (waqf) to be used as a mosque and madrasah.
Alhamdulillah, at 23:00 JST, the second building was officially dedicated as a musholla, witnessed by the management of Al-Hidayah Toyohashi Mosque (DKM Al-Hidayah Toyohashi). Mr. Sartono named it Musholla Al-Hidayah, with the hope that many people living in Japan, especially in the Toyohashi area, will receive guidance (hidayah) and help prosper the house of Allah SWT.
The first meeting, led by Maulana Muhaimin, regarding the endowment (waqf) of the building (January 24, 2025, 22:00 JST).
Witnesses from the Al-Hidayah Mosque committee (DKM Al-Hidayah), guided by Maulana Muhaimin, observed Mr. Sartono endowing his building.
On January 26, 2025, the first congregational Fajr prayer was held at Musholla Al-Hidayah, led by Ustadz Thoriq as the imam.
On January 26, 2025, at 8:00 JST, a meeting was held to select the Chairman of DKM Al-Hidayah Toyohashi. Mr. Sukardi was elected as the Chairman of DKM Al-Hidayah Toyohashi.
Alhamdulillah, over time many congregants helped take care of the musholla, and it grew into a thriving place of worship in Toyohashi. As a result, it was officially inaugurated as a mosque on February 9, 2025. The event was attended by more than 100 Muslim congregants living in Toyohashi and Nishio. The inauguration was also witnessed by Maulana Muhaimin and Ustadz Herizal Adhardi (Imam/DKM MIO).
